+What is ADSL?

Assymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line. technology for transmitting digital information at a high bandwidth on existing phone lines to homes and businesses. ADSL is asymmetric in the sense that it uses most of the channel to transmit downstream to the user and only a small part to receive information from the user.

+What kind of DSL do I have?

Twin Lakes offers ADSL. If you subscribe to Twin Lakes DSL, then you have ADSL.

+What is the difference between High Speed Internet and DSL?

High Speed Internet is our connection that is based at 192/128 for $21.95. According to NECA DSL is actually any connection that is over 200kb/s in any one direction.

+What is the right speed for me?

The answer to this question would depend on what you would like to do with your internet connection. For example:

  • Heavy Gamers & Downloaders would require a broadband connection to enjoy the game without interruption.
  • Browsers and Light Gamers could use any range of our internet provider services. Light gamers would include online card games, flash games, etc.
