HOME COOKING
Breakfast
Breakfast is something of an event at Wildwood
Lodge. Sit down to an old fashioned, hearty, country breakfast; the sort of
breakfast that will keep you going till late afternoon.
Be prepared to be pampered - there's no doubt you will start your day
well fed and in good humor.
Although we offer a variety of times to take breakfast, in the season,
at weekends, our full country breakfast is generally served at 8.00 am.
We usually bake homemade biscuits with sausage gravy, except for really
hot days, always two meats - possibly bacon, ham, pork tenderloin or
sausage, scrambled eggs and fried potatoes. We may serve blueberry
pancakes, cinnamon toasted French bread or homemade Fresh Apple Coffee
cake. There's always fresh fruit and cereals available too.
We can help you decide on the right hiking trail - in our
time,
we've done them all! Then there are the other guests to chat with -
they're here, like you, to enjoy the parks. Sometimes the
conversation's so lively that breakfast lasts well over an hour - but
that's the beauty of a break away from your daily grind.
We know some of you want to get out there as fast as possible, so if
you wish to take breakfast earlier, just let us know the night before
and we'll cook breakfast for you at any hour, on the hour. Whether you
have the full country breakfast or are a small group of early birds,
you can be assured of hearty, home cooked food - so get out there and
exercise!
Dinners
As we are out of town and know that many of you do not want to drive 16
miles to eat after a hard day out in the woods, we provide simple fare
on evenings when the local restaurant, Bacaras, is closed. It's all
home made - it'll be filling, different and delicious. We do need
reservations at least 7 days beforehand as we have to be sure to have
sufficient food.
Rates
The price is from $14.95 to $29.50 per person, dependent on the meal we
provide.
Packed Lunches
Available, given sufficient notice, any time during your stay. Just
mention it when you arrive and the night before you need it.
Rates
The standard price is $7.00 per person.
